Operating within the global support function of our Payments Team, the Payments Analyst is responsible for ensuring timely, seamless, well-controlled and appropriately monitored end-to-end support of customer transaction flows, delivered in accordance with regulatory obligations, guidelines, associated rules and the organisation’s internal policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers’ end-to-end transaction flows (i.e. from sending in through to transferring out) are processed accurately, and efficiently in accordance with the organisation’s and market opening times

  • Reconciliation of incoming payments, outgoing transfers and investigation of unreconciled items - manually process all transactions that fall out of automated clearing / batching process, identify trends in automation failures and raise solutions to address and improve automated processing

  • Investigate all unreconciled items within agreed SLA

  • Process internal and external payment instructions via various banking platforms

  • Communicate effectively by email and/or telephone with customers, sellers/banking partners & other internal departments

  • Ensure work is carried out and completed in a controlled, compliant, timely and accurate manner with emphasis on attention to detail ensuring team SLAs and KPIs are met

  • Execute foreign exchange transactions

  • Carry out daily liquidity management across different banking partners

  • Support and work with external service providers such as banking and non-bank partners

  • Support Product and Engineering teams with testing of new product offerings when required

Open and close FX markets when required


Subject matter knowledge and experience

  • Experience of working in a financial services environment essential, with specific focus on reconciliation/cash/payments/FX operations

  • Proficient in MS Excel, with experience of using for financial reconciliations

  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while meeting tight processing deadlines

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to deal with all levels in a confident and professional manner
